O Kalani Outrigger Canoe Center is a member of the Northern California Outrigger Canoe Association, member of the International Va'a Federation and the Pacific Islanders Cultural Association.

The goals of this association are:
- To unite all the outrigger canoe clubs organized in Northern California
- To encourage, maintain and perpetuate outrigger canoe racing
- To teach, train, instruct and expose children, men and women to the ancient art, craft and history of Hawaiian canoeing.

O Kalani Outrigger Canoe Center is a non-profit organization which provides recreational and competitive paddling experiences for people of all ages living in Oakland/Alameda and other East Bay communities. Founded in Alameda in 1980, activities include the Alameda Triangle Challenge race held every May, the summer sprint race season and a number of long distance races throughout Northern California. O Kalani also fields crews which participate in nationally competitive long distance races on the mainland and in Hawaii. The center presents a cultural experience of outrigger canoe paddling along with other elements of Hawaiian culture.

We have made our home at the Jack London Aquatic Center in Oakland, California.
